Mary Evans Clipp, 92, of Plano, Texas, formerly of Wheeling, died Friday, March 9, 2001, in the Life Care Center in Plano.
She was a Catholic. She was a great cook and enjoyed cooking.
She was born in Wheeling, August 26, 1908, daughter of the late George and Catherine Smith Evans.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Neininger Clipp in 1971; a grandson, Kevin Clipp; and a brother, William Evans.
Surviving are two sons, William E. of Plano and J. Ronald and his wife Kay, of Grapevine, Texas; a sister, Catherine Gibbs of Nakomas, Fla.; five grandchildren, Brennan Clipp of Dallas, Texas, Stacey Clipp of Los Angeles, California, Kellie Baer of Duncanville, Texas, Kathy Moore of Grapevine and J. Ronald Clipp Jr. of St. Louis, Mo.; four great-grandchildren, Kassidy Baer of Dallas, Texas, Dan Moore Jr. of Duncanville, Blaine Moore of Duncanville and Madison Clipp of St. Louis.
Friends received 2-4 p.m. Monday at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 154 Kruger St., Elm Grove, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, with the Rev. H. Joseph Wilhelm S.M. officiating. Internment in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.
