SPIVLA, MARY C. 86, of Shadyside, died Wednesday February 6, 2002 in Belmont Community Hospital.
She was born March 7, 1915 in Westville, Ill. a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Hubek Lednik.
She was a member of the St. Mary Catholic Church, Shadyside,AARP and the St. Mary Catholic Womens Club.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband,Walter J. Spivla; four brothers, Joe, Steve, Felix, and Leo Lednik.
Surviving are two daughters, Darla Jean Schau and her husband Richard A. of Shadyside; and Mary Jo Strussion and her husband Martin of Sainte Genevieve, Missouri; six grandchildren, Pamela Mitchell of Shadyside; Todd Schau of Shadyside; Laura Oliver of Baldwin, Missouri; Angela Reimensnider of Iberia, Missouri; Christine Kelly of St. Charles, Missouri; and Sara Strusssion of St.Louis, Missouri; 8 great grandchildren, Alyssa Davis, Tyler Davis, Breanne Schau, Kaitlyn Schau, Matthew Oliver, Collin Reimensnider, Noah Reimensnider and Elijah Kelly, one step great grandchild, Max Mitchell.
Friends will be received from 2-9 PM Friday at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Home, 3900 Central Avenue, Shadyside. Vigil services at 3 PM Friday. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10AM Saturday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Shadyside with Father Frank C. Cronin officiating.
Interment in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Bellaire, Ohio.
