Lucas Mary Belle, 84, of Moundsville, WV, passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2011 at Mound View Health Care Center, Moundsville.
She was born March 9, 1927 in Glen Dale, WV, a daughter of the late Arlie and Bertha Brooks Taylor. She was a Baptist by faith and a longstanding member of Temple Baptist Church in Moundsville. She retired from the Louis Marx Toy Company, where she worked many years as an assembler.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Edwin, Robert and James Taylor; two sisters, Betty Voorheis and Ada Mae Taylor.
Survivors include her loving husband of 63 years, Andrew “Dean” Lucas of Moundsville; one son, Robert D. Lucas Darla of Moundsville; one daughter, Cindy Blake of Moundsville; a brother, Donald TaylorVivian of Moundsville; a sister, Ruth Ann McDonald Wayne of Moundsville; sisters-in-law, Sandra Taylor and Virginia Taylor, both of Moundsville; grandchildren, Amy Beth Lucas of Wheeling, WV, Alison Stanley Bernie of VA, Carly Lucas of Moundsville, Steven Blake Tracey of AZ, Joseph Blake of AZ, Catherine Mae Blake of FL; 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes Kirby Vance Chapel, 118 Grant Avenue, Moundsville.
Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 23, 2011 with Pastor Jim Higginson and special family friend Mr. Rod Kelly officiating.
Committal services will follow immediately at Riverview Cemetery Moundsville.

Uncle Dean, Cindy and Bob, Just wanted to let you know how sincerely sorry I am for your loss. I will miss Aunt Mary Belle, she was one of my aunts that we spent lots of time with growing up, I can remember being so amazed that I actually had an aunt that MADE TOYS!
