Mary Ann Wycoff
Age 88
Mary Ann Wycoff, 88, of Plutus Avenue, Chester, West Virginia, died Tuesday, December 4, 2001 at Beaver Medical Center in Beaver, Pa following a brief illness.
She was born in Chester, West Virginia on October 22, 1913, the daughter of the late Jess and Lydia Murray Strosnider.
A lifelong area resident, Mrs. Wycoff was a people greeter at the Walmart Store in Calcutta, Ohio for over 10 years. She was a 1932 graduate of Chester High School and attended the First United Methodist Church of Chester. She also enjoyed playing bingo for many years.
Her husband, John F. Wycoff, whom she married February 28, 1934, died February 24, 1989.
She is survived by a son, Terry L. Wycoff of East Liverpool; two daughters, Patricia A. Mikita of Columbus, Ohio and Mrs. Jack Jean Maxwell of East Liverpool, Ohio; a sister, Ethel Winkler of Parma Heights, Ohio;
15 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Charles J. Wycoff; three brothers, Murry Strosnider, Chuck Strosnider and Clyde Strosnider.
Services will be held at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin-MacLean-Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Thursday, December 6, 2001 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Aaron Gooden of the Church, officiating.
Burial will follow in Locust Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home in Calcutta, today, Wednesday, December 5, 2001 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM.
