Mary Ann Rickus Baker, 84, formerly of Mozart, died Saturday June 9, 2001 at Peterson Hospital, Wheeling.
Mary was born November 24, 1916 in Wheeling, a daughter of the late Nelson Bernard and Mary Josephine Van-Haverbeke Rickus. She was a retired secretary, a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, was very active in the A.A.R.P, and was a member of the Altar Rosary Society.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Baker; a brother, Edward Ted Rickus; and three sisters, Gloria McAninch, Helen Herman, and Marguerite Schauwitsberger.
Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Lillian Marcellus and her husband Lee of Wheeling; a brother, George Rickus of Colerain, OH; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received Monday June 11, 2001 from 6-8 pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 154 Kruger Street, Elm Grove. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Tuesday June 12, 2001 at 10 am at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, with the Rev. Raymond Jablinske as celebrant. Interment will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.
