Mary Ann Santimarino McCauley, 79, died on May 24, 2015 at UPMC in Pittsburgh PA.
She was born in Weirton WV a daughter of the late Fred and Helen Antimary Santimarino. Having lived much of her life in the East Liverpool, Wellsville and Chester area, and later 17 years in Berea, Kentucky, Mary Ann touched the lives of many around her. Known as the cupcake lady by neighborhood children, Mary Ann had an affinity for baking as well as crafts, painting and singing and shared these gifts with all around her. She was a member of Holy Trinity Parish at St Aloysius Church and had also been a member of the St. Claire Catholic Church in Kentucky, where she was a member of social activities, sending cards to GI’s, people that where homebound, hospitalized or in nursing homes.
Mary Ann is survived by five sons: Fred D. Flara and his wife Sheri Johanson of Concord CA, David L. Flara and his wife Charlene of Chester MD, Joseph A. Flara of Lexington KY, Michael J. Flara and his wife Sherry of Broadhead KY, and James E. McCauley Jr. and his wife Melissa of East Liverpool; two daughters: Debbie L. Flara and her husband Patrick Kelleher of Berea KY, Jennifer E. Robbins and her husband Michael of East Liverpool, two daughter-in laws- Jody Flara of Berea KY and Lisa Marsh of Lexington KY ; a brother LeRoy “Bud” Santimarino of East Palestine; four sisters: Jean Baldasare and her husband Fred of Wellsville, Delores Crouse of Chester, Barbara Beadnell of Wellsville, and Joyce White of Wellsville; eleven grandchildren: Ben Flara, DeAnna Flara, Molly Flara, David Flara, Kara Robbins, Cassandra Robbins, James McCauley III, Open Banks, Christina Aliotti, Megan Melrose and Kelsey Melrose, and 6 great grandchildren: Avery Banks, Evan Banks, Cassidy O’Brien, Chad O’Brien, Carly O’Brien, and Joey Aliotti.
In addition to her parents Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband James E. McCauley; a sister: Donna DaLonzo and a grandchild: Cady O’Brien.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Trinity Parish at St Aloysius Church on Saturday May 30, 2015 at 10AM with Father Peter Haladej officiating. Burial will follow in St Elizabeth Cemetery in Wellsville.
The family will be present to receive friends Friday May 29, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes.

A Memory I never want to forget, your Mom, no matter how down I was and how sick she was she always wanted me to feel better and i think in many ways I did her to.I lost my Mom in 99, she was 66,Mary Ann was my 2nd Mom, here on earth. I have missed her since she left Ky. In Heaven I know. Fly High Angel

Dear Family. I`m sorry I didn’t get to come and visit Mary. I fill guilty!!! I hope to see all of you Fri.So sorry she is gone. She put up a good fight! She was one of the best friends anyone could have.

So sorry to hear about your Mom’s passing. Anytime I think of your Mom, I smile and remember her fabulous cooking, in particular, her cabbage rolls!!! I’m so sad I didn’t take the opportunity to have her teach me the recipe! :- She warmed hearts with her cooking!
