Marion G. Stanway 99, formerly of Riverside Avenue, Wellsville, Ohio, died, Tuesday, July 2, 2002 at Crandall Medical Center in Sebring, Ohio.
She was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on October 23, 1902, the daughter of the late Rev. Ernest and Mary Schafer Trotter.
Mrs. Stanway was a teacher in the Bedford, Ohio School System. She graduated from Ohio State University and was a member of Riverside Presbyterian Church in Wellsville, Ohio, where she was an officer and past president of the Women’s Association.
Her husband, Cedric Stanway, died in 1971. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Ernest Franklin Trotter.
She is survived by one niece, Joanne Preston of Cupertino, California.
Services will be held at the Wellsville Chapel of the Martin-MacLean-Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Monday, July 8, 2002 at 1:00 PM with Rev. William Betteridge of the church, officiating.
Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
There are no calling hours or visitation planned.
