Marilyn R. Sprouse
Age 73
Marilyn R. Sprouse, 73, of St. Clair Avenue, East Liverpool, died at the East Liverpool City Hospital on Sunday, April 15, 2001, after a 5 week illness. She was born in Wellsville, Ohio on December 12, 1927, the daughter of Mrs Florence Biacco Keller Thomas of East Liverpool and the late Charles R. Keller.
Mrs Sprouse has lived her entire life in the Wellsville and East Liverpool area.
She was employed as a cook in the East Liverpool School System and the Culinary Department at the Columbiana County Joint Vocational School for a combined total of 25 years.
She was a past member of the Lady Elks in Wellsville and an avid bowler with the Winter Tri-State all Stars. Mrs Sprouse was a Methodist by faith.
In addition to her mother, Mrs Sprouse is survived by four daughters, Mrs Reba Sprouse-Roberts of Salineville, Ohio, Mrs Jane Sprouse-Moorman of Roanoke, Va., Mrs Dennis Sue VanSickle of East Liverpool, and Mrs Robert Robin Bosco of East Liverpool. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Brian Sprouse of Roanoke, Va., Mrs Jonathan Jennifer Ludwig, Kerri VanSickle, Michael Bosco, Mark VanSickle, Mrs Anson Angela Wiegand all of East Liverpool and Craig Roberts of Salineville, Ohio. Two Step Grandchildren, Mrs Robert Michelle Hopton of Chesapeake, Va. and Scott Roberts with the U.S. Army in Huston, Texas. She is also survived by one Great Grandchild and five Step Great Grandchildren.
In addition to her father, Mrs Sprouse was preceeded in death by her husband, Dovener ”Doc” Sprouse Jr. on July 6, 1980, they were married on August 13, 1946, she is also preceeded in death by one step granddaughter, Monica Roberts.
Services will be at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin-MacLean-Altmeyer Funeral Homes at 1:30 on Wednesday, April 18, 2001, with Alvin Talkington, a friend of the family, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Riverview Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family any time Tuesday at the funeral home.
