Marilyn J. DeFalco, age 75, of Wellsville, Ohio passed away on Friday, June 27, 2008, at the Calcutta Health Care after a brief illness.

Born in Salineville, Ohio on October 17, 1932, Mrs. DeFalco was the daughter of the late Homer and Ellen Winters Ludlam and lived her entire life in the area. A graduate of Salineville High School, she had worked as a Site Manager with Community Action Agency and its Elderly Nutrition Program in Wellsville. She had also worked with the Board of Elections, was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church, the Wellsville Lady Knights and enjoyed playing cards belonging to several card clubs.

Her husband, Leonard William DeFalco preceded her in death in April 13, 1984. They were married on November 22, 1952.

Survivors include three daughters, Debbie A. DeSarro of Wintersville, Angie Mathess and her husband Brian of Wellsville, and Pam DeFalco of Wellsville. One sister, Rhoda Leyda and her husband Frank of Wellsville. Four grandchildren, Paul DeSarro, Kristen DeSarro, Justin Mathess, and Natalie Mathess, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Noles and Theda Madison and a sister in law, Helen Angellone.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, June 30, 2008, at 10 AM at the Immaculate Conception Church in Wellsville with Rev. Fr. Bernard Gaeta as Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Wellsville.

Family will be present to visit with friends, today, June 29, 2008, at the Wellsville Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes from 2:00 to 8:00 PM.

Following services family and friends will gather at the Riverside Presbyterian Church for food and fellowship.

Dear Debbie, Angie, and Pam,

Words cannot express my saddness at this time. I loved your mother and have many, many happy memories of our traveling together and will never forget the 35+ years we were in Card Club together. Please express my sympathies to your children. She was a devoted grandmother and I know how loved she was by them and her daughters. You have all made her very proud. She will be misseed. I was so saddened to hear of her passing. She was one of the dearest people and I feel so blessed that God touched my life with hers..

We regret the passing of Nippy whom we have known for many years. The Wellington family lived next door to the DeFalco home and memories of Nippy and Len are those of joyful moments of the past.
