Marian H. Tarkington
NORFOLK — Marian Louise Hill Tarkington, daughter of John Henry Hill and Bertie Lowe Hill, deceased, went home to be with the Lord Jesus Christ Monday, 3 December, 2001 at 20:45.
She was born 26 November 1929 and was the former wife of John William Snowdon deceased of Norfolk.
She is survived by her daughter, Donna Rose; two sons, Jimmy Snowdon of Norfolk and the Rev. Tommy Snowdon of Jacksonville, N.C.; brother, John H. Hill; sisters, Clara Harrison and Janet Warren; and several nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her fiance, Jim Deems.
There will be an informal gathering for family members at Altmeyer Funeral Home Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. The service will be held at noon Saturday at Grassfield Baptist Church, Cedar Road, Chesapeake, and the committal service will follow at 2:30 p.m. at the Beaver Dam Cemetery, Carrsville, Va. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Tommy Snowdon and the Rev. Norman March.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate monetary contributions toward the funeral expenses to be sent to Jimmy or Tommy Snowdon, 4445 Hinsdale St., Virginia Beach, VA 23462.

was the best aunts that i will ever have she was a durn good one and she always will be she could have been nominated aunt of the year and someone had smitted her name. I saw Marian suffer and it took me a while to get over her death. her death was very painful. I will always love her and i will never stiop loving her.

You were my friends aunt and from what i hear u were really great. Im sure that if i knew you i would have really liked you.It was a terrible thing that you got acute mylegenous leukemia. At least now you are not suffering anymore and i know that you are in a better place.
