Margery A. Martin
Age: 73

Margery A. Martin, 73, of Lisbon Street, in East Liverpool, Ohio, died Saturday, December 20, 2003, after taking ill suddenly at home.

She was born August 6, 1930, in East Liverpool, Ohio, a daughter to the late Ross C. & Edna May Vorndran Jackson, Sr. She spent her lifetime in East Liverpool. She owned and operated with her husband a cleaning service, working for various banks and churches in the area. She also worked at one time for the Golden Star Dairyland as a waitress.

She was a 1948 graduate of East Liverpool High School, a member of the Good Shepherd Church, president of the Joy Bible Class, and the Altar Guild.

She is survived by her husband, Edward T. Martin, whom she married On August 26, 1966, two sons, James Ross Corbett, of East Liverpool, Joseph Edward Corbett and his wife Ann of Plaineville, Connetticut, a daughter, Edna Evelyn Prichard and her husband George, of Doylestown, Ohio, a brother, Ross C. Jackson, Jr. and his wife Grayce, of East Liverpool, a sister, Dorothy Jean Brewer, of East Liverpool, and six grandchildren.

Services will be held at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes, Tuesday, December 23, 2003 at 11 a.m., with Reverend William Church of the Good Shepherd and Reverend Doris Prichard, retired, officiating.

Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery in East Liverpool.

Family will be present to receive friends at the Calcutta Chapel, Monday, December 22, 2003 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.

Ed & Family

I was so shocked and sorry to hear of Margery’s death. Mom had a hard time telling me that Margie had passed on. She was a sweetheart and I will miss her hugs. My deepest condolences to you and may God be with you and comfort you. I will keep you in my prayers.

Ed,

Sorry I was unable to visit the funeral home. I do want to convey my deepest sympathy for your loss.

May God uphold you at this time of need and give you strength in the coming days.

Thank you for your friendship during the time that I had the priviledge of working with you and getting to know Marg.
