Margaret Rose MEDOVIC, 85, of Wheeling, died Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at Liza’s Place.
She was born March 25, 1929, in Benwood, WV, a daughter of the late Steve and Sophie Sikala Kramer.
Margaret was a graduate of St. John’s Grade School and Union High School, was a member of the Slovak Catholic Sokol Lodge, Corpus Christi Catholic Church, worked at Cooke Waite Labratory until she married and then worked at the family business with her late husband Rudy; Medovic’s AG Food Center, formerly located at 2201 Market Street.
In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Rudy Medovic in 2014, 3 brothers; Andrew, Joseph and Steve and 4 sisters; Elizabeth Ann, Theresa, Helen and Mary.
Surviving are her 2 sons; Dr. Michael Medovic and his wife Cathy, and Thomas Medovic and his wife Tammy, all of Wheeling, 3 grandchildren; Ty Medovic and his wife Brady, Katie Medovic and Bonnie Medovic; a great granddaughter, Peyton Grace Medovic and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Friday, February 27, 2015 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff St., Wheeling.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 10:00am at Corpus Christi Catholic Church., with Msgr. Eugene Ostrowski as celebrant.
Entombment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.
Memorial contributions may be made to Corpus Christi Parish Grade School.
