Cordery, Margaret A., 42, of Benwood, WV, died Sunday, December 21, 2008 in Reynolds Memorial Hospital, Glen Dale, WV.
She was born June 21, 1966 in Sistersville, WV.
Margaret was a member of St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church, Boggs Run, Benwood.
Surviving are her mother, Evelyn M. Cordery of Benwood; two brothers, Russell Cordery of St. Clairsville, OH, and Douglas Hilda Cordery of Blaine, OH; a sister, Brenda Higgins of McMechen, WV; three nephews, Geoffrey Amy Cordery of Taos, NM, Jason Jeri Cordery of Grants, NM, and Zachary Higgins of McMechen; a niece, Solar Rae Perry of Blaine, OH; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends received 6-9 pm Tuesday at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Benwood-McMechen Chapel, 214 Marshall St., McMechen, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, December 24, 2008 with Rev. Mary Prather officiating.
Interment in Park View Memorial Gardens, Wheeling.

You touched the lives of everyone you every met. Your mere existence made the world a better, more tolerant place. You were always there to make me laugh and keep me from feeling sorry for myself. I will never forget the time we spent together. You are the best person I have ever, or will ever know. You were so open and honest and had such a childlike sense of wonder. Characteristics which are in short supply these days. Thank you for reminding me where I come from, and where I am heading. In short thank you for being you. I will always love and remember you. I hope you have finally found some peace.

Dear Cordery family,

I’m not sure if any of you read this at this point, but I wanted to send my condolences.

I don’t know why, but Margaret popped into my head today. I Googled her, and was saddened to read of her passing. I met Margaret in summer school when we were kids; we rode the bus together. We became reacquainted at JM. She was a very sweet girl who brightened the lives of all blessed to meet her.

Grandma, Dad, Doug, Brenda and everyone else she ever touched, I am very sorry for our loss. If you all ever need someone to talk to, I will be here for you. We can get through this together. Best wishes going forward as well.
