BIERKORTTE, Mrs. Margaret A. Palloni, 88, formerly of Elm Grove, West Virginia, passed away Friday, October 13, 2006 in Columbus, Ohio.
She was born August 28, 1918 in Uniontown, Pa., a daughter of the late Adolf and Linda Freducci Palloni. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and a member of Christian Mothers. She was employed by The Hub & Hornes as Personnel Director, and Stone & Thomas as a Corporate Buyer.
In addition to her parents, She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, Herbert, in 1999; a sister, Mrs. Clara Norton; and a brother, Robert Palloni.
She is survived by her children, Kenneth Bierkortte & his wife, Linda of Worthington, Ohio and Jean Bierkortte Carroll and her husband, Patrick of Elm Grove; grandchildren, Brian Bierkortte and his wife Amber of Columbus, Ohio, Kelly Bierkortte of Columbus, Ohio, Holly Bierkortte of Juneau, Alaska, Julie Carroll of St. Paul, Minnesota, and Dr. Christopher Carroll and his wife, Sarah of Jacksonville, Fl. She is also survived by her niece, Jean Galla of Wheeling; great niece, Christine Webb of Silver Springs, Maryland; great nephew, Patrick Galla of Louisville, Kentucky; and great nephew, Leonard Galla of Chicago, Il.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Wednesday at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Elm Grove Chapel, 154 Kruger St, Wheeling, where a vigil service will be held at 7:30 pm Wednesday evening.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am, Thursday, October 19, 2006 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Interment, beside her husband, in Greenwood Cemetery.

Dear Ken and Jean, Mother and I are so sorry to hear about your Mom. We often have delighful conversations recalling your Mother’s and mine young adulthood memories. Their trips together, their double dates, and weddings. Your Mom was and is a big part of our lives and we are are sad for you and your family.
