Manuel W. "Junior" Artimez, 79, of Moundsville, died Monday, May 6, 2002 in Wheeling, WV. He was a retired employee of the former Allied-Olin Chemical Co., Moundsville and an Army veteran of World War II, having recieved the Purple Heart in France. He was also a member of the American Legion, Earl Francis Post #3 and the Disabled American Veterans. He was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel M. and Mary Harveth Artimez. Surviving are his beloved wife of 49 years, A. Lorraine Gregg Artimez; three sons, Bruce M.Suzanne Artimez, Douglas A. Gail Artimez and Scott D. Artimez all of Moundsville; a brother, John E. Wilma Artimez, Sr. of Moundsville; an aunt, Helen Knapp of Moundsville; six grandchildren, Glenn, Lori, Derek, Matthew, Taylor and Emily Artimez all of Moundsville. Friends recieved Wednesday, May 8, 2002 at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 118 Grant Ave., Moundsville from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A memorial service will be held Monday, May 13, 2002 at 7:00 pm at the Ash Avenue Church of God, 127 Ash Avenue, Moundsville with the Rev. Vondie Cook officiating. Interment in Riverview Cemetery, Moundsville at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Marshall County Animal Rescue League, PO Box 13, GlenDale, WV 26038 or to the Ash Avenue Church of God.

I didn’t know Junior but I know he will be missed by all those he did know him.I am sorry for your loss of your Husband,Father and Grand children and any other members of the Family I may have missed.
