HOUSER, Madelyn V., 86, of Wheeling, W.Va. died Friday, September 07, 2012 in Wheeling Hospital.

She was born July 7, 1926, in Wheeling, a daughter to the late Nick and Margaret Heil Heim. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Wheeling, and a member of the St. Michael’s Christian Mothers. She was retired from the C & P Telephone Company, Family Services of the Upper Ohio Valley, and Consumer Credit Counseling.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Houser, two brothers, Tommy Heim and Joseph Heim, and one sister, Mary T. Heim.

She is survived by one son, Mark A. Houser of Wheeling; one daughter, Diana Milton of Wheeling; six grandchildren, Jason Milton, Jennifer Milton, Jessica Reed, Casey Houser, Chelsea Houser, and Abbie Houser; and four great grandchildren, Chloe Reed, Billy Reed, Laykin Milton, and Aiden Milton.

Friends will be received Monday, September 10, 2012 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff Street, Wheeling. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, September 10, 2012 at 11 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church in Wheeling with Rev. Jeremiah McSweeney as celebrant. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling.

My condolences to you and your families. Your dear Mother was my Mother’s lifetime best friend. I remember her as a very kind and happy person. God Bless her.
