Dear Bob and Family, I graduated with Lynette from Longwood in 1974. There are 7 of us who were very close. 6 of us married and we are all with the original husbands. Seems we sure know how to pick terrific men.

Lynette is the first of us to pass on. I am so sorry for your loss. Steve, my husband, remembered her as a very nice person. He is right–she would do anything for you. She was a giving lady with a big heart.

I do hope you find solace in the faces of your children and grandchildren. They are certainly a reflection of the goodness of Lynette.

She will be missed.

Dear Bob, I was one of Lynette’s suitemates at Longwood and although we had not stayed in touch, I thought of her often. I was saddened to hear of her death when Linda called me. Prayers are with you and your family.

Dear Bob,Dennis,Christopher, and the rest of the family,

My sister called me today and I am in shock. Words can not express my feelings to you all. It is like losing my sister.Even tho we did not communicate much in the past years I always thought of Lynette on her special days. We shared a great time together as roommates in college. Just know mine and Howard’s thoughts and prayers are with you. Please get in touch with me when the time is right. Love, Linda, Howard and Meredith

Dear Thomason family,as a former colleague of Lynette’s at Deep Creek Intermediate School, I have many fond memories of sharing the challenges of being a teacher with her. Her cheerful perseverance and loving patience was an example for all of us. You are all in my prayers.

I wanted to let you know that your family is in my prayers. Know that God will comfort and strengthen you during this time of bereavement. I worked with Lynette at Hugo A. Owens Middle School. In fact, we opened the building together and worked together as a team until she retired. Once again, I pray for your peace and strength. Most of all, hold on to the memories for they will definitely help to ease the pain!

Lynette and I worked together at Deep Creek Intermediate and Hugo Owens Middle School. In fact I’m still using material that she gave me when she retired. She was a kind, wonderful, gentle soul. She spoke lovingly of her husband and family and often shared pictures of her growing sons. Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.
