Lula Mae Krafft Geer, 99, of McCoy Avenue, East Liverpool, Ohio died Wednesday, February 20, 2002 at home.
She was born in Elizabeth, West Virginia on August 29, 1902, the daughter of the late Daniel Boone Williams and Ida Mae Brown Williams.
Mrs. Geer, living most of her life in the area, was a homemaker. During World War II, she worked as a scarfer at the former Crucible Steel Mill in Midland, PA.
Her husband, August G. Krafft, whom she married March 2, 1920, died in January of 1959.
She is survived by four sons, Donald Krafft and his wife Eleanor, of East Liverpool, Ohio, Denford Krafft of Naples, Florida, Dale Krafft and his wife, Barbara, of East Liverpool, Ohio and Christie Krafft and his wife Alberta, of East Liverpool, Ohio; a daughter, Grace Taylor and her husband Carl, of Toccoa, Georgia; 24 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; 19 great-great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husband, Mrs. Geer was preceded in death by two daughters, Betty Lou Mohnkern and June Hochbeine; three brothers, Denziel Williams, Woodrow D. Williams and Bernard D. Williams; four sisters, Dorothy Seaton, Nora Green, Bonavere Williams and Laura Anderson; four great-great grandchildren.
Services will be held at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin-MacLean-Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Saturday, February 23, 2002 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Mike Ross of Hope Christian Fellowship, officiating.
Burial will follow in Columbiana County Memorial Park.
The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home in Calcutta on Friday, February 22, 2002 from 5:00 to 9:00 PM
