Dear Family of Louella Long,

I am sorry about the lost of your loved one. Words cannot describe feelings in a time like this. Many have found comfort in the Bible’s promises of seeing our past loved ones again. Keep memories of your loved one close.

I will always be thankful that great grandmother Long would take my call. She never seemed to remeber me at first, because I would only use my first name, but she was always so polite an warm to me as she tried to place my name. But once I said I was David’s son, she would exclaim in that voice – “James Paul”!

I always seemed to call her when I was either overseas and wanted to hear a freindly voice around the holidays or in college and suffering the same predicament.

She was always gracious and warm to me and I deeply regret not taking the time to visit her and introducing my wife and two boys to this remarkable lady. I will miss her. Rest in peace and God Bless.

My best memory of Grandma Long is sitting in her kitchen and eating her blueberry cobbler. For years I wanted that recipe. James Paul, my mother, I and our families want to express our deepest sympathies. We regret that we are unable to attend her funeral and are praying for her and the rest of our family.
