VIRGINIA BEACH- Lucy Yevlove, 76, passed away in her home on January 5, 2009.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Arthur L. Yevlove; two children, Marc Yevlove of New York and Karen Stout of Virginia Beach; three grandchildren, Lauren Harlan, and William and Daniel Stout; brother-in-law, Vincent Mardoc; and several nieces and nephews.
She warmed the hearts and brightened the smiles of every person she touched. She was the best wife, mother, grandmother, and friend anyone could imagine. If she saw someone, anyone, a stranger even, in need of anything, she somehow helped them. Lucy will forever be loved, adored, and missed through photographs and cherished memories. Unfortunately, her life ended after an 11 year battle with cancer. Lucy was, truly, one of a kind. She will never be forgotten.
The family will receive friends at Arthur and Lucy’s home on Saturday, January 10, 2009 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4416 Expressway Drive, Virginia Beach, Virginia 23452.
Condolences may be shared with the family at altmeyer.com
Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5792 Greenwich Road, Virginia Beach is in charge of the arrangements.
To The Yevlove family:
I am truly sorry for the loss of your dear love one. It is times like these, hearts are filled with grief and pain. However, please find comfort in God’s promise found in the Bible at John chapter 5, verses 28&29. It reads: “Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life.”
May God comfort you doing these difficult times.
