Lucy Vinka

Lucy Vinka, 84, of Cadiz, Ohio formerly of Franklin Street Bellaire, Ohio died Monday, August 21, 2006 at the Harrison County Home at Cadiz, Ohio.

She was born December 13, 1921 in Wheeling, West Virginia a daughter of the late John and Valentina Bidek Greskevitch.

Lucy was a devoted daughter, wife, mother and beloved grandmother. She loved being a grandmother. She was a member of the St. Michael Catholic Church in Bellaire, Ohio and the Catholic Womens Club.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by he husband, Arthur Vinka on July 11, 1999, three sisters, Virginia Colley, Loretta Lapinsky and Mary Porter, three brothers, Steve, Sigmund and Walter Greskevitch and her daughter-in-law, Phyllis Vinka.

Surviving are her son, Michael A. Vinka and his wife, Joyce of Cadiz, OH, one sister, Pauline Kelley of Middlebourne, WV, one granddaughter, Michelle Vinka of Tryon, OK, step grandsons, Dale Arbaugh and Kevin Arbaugh and his wife, Shawnee all of Jewett, OH, two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory 441 37th Street Bellaire, OH on Wednesday from 4 to 8 pm where services will be held on Thursday at 1 pm with Msgr.Gene W. Mullett officiating. Entombment in the Guardian Angel Mausoleum at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Bellaire, OH.

Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Michael Catholic Church o/c St. John Catholic Church 415 37th Street Bellaire, Ohio 43906.
