Louis V. Lankford, Jr.
Norfolk – Louis “Vic” Lankford, Jr., 88, died December 28, 2011. Mr. Lankford was born in Norfolk to the late Louis and Thelma Blanchard Lankford. He served as a Merchant Marine during WWII, was a member of Wesley Memorial UMC, and enjoyed painting, woodworking and gardening.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Jean Lankford; children, Jennifer Louise Lankford Vinson and husband, Johnny of Norfolk and Deborah Victoria Midgette of Norfolk; sister, Barbara Hope Spence of Richmond; brother, Forrest Gray Lankford of Chesapeake; five grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Monday at 11:00am at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, 288 E. Little Creek Rd, Norfolk with Rev. Bruce Carper officiating. We were so sorry to hear that Vic passed away. We understand how difficult your loss can be. We will always keep Vic in our fond memories with his crazy jokes and stories. He always had a smile when we saw him.
