Williams, Lorena A., 71, of Moundsville, WV, formerly of Benwood, WV, died Friday, June 20, 2008 at home.
She was born September 12, 1936 in Benwood, a daughter of the late George and Caroline McCabe McKennen.
Mrs. Williams was a retired employee of Young’s Cafeteria, Glen Dale, and a member of the McMechen-Benwood United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Edward Williams; a sister, Virginia Howard; a son-in-law, James “Butch” Daugherty.
Surviving are six daughters, Carla J. Wyckoff of Moundsville, Patty A. Daugherty of Moundsville, Christy L. Greg Klecan of Fresno, CA, Pamela S. Samuel Budrevich of New Matamoras, OH, Dana L. Thomas Foster of Benwood, and Candice E. Williams of McMechen; three sisters, Loretta Linabarger of Dillonvale, OH, Beverly Smith of Rayland, OH, and Sharon Bryan of Benwood; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Friends received 2-9 pm Sunday at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Benwood-McMechen Chapel, 214 Marshall St., McMechen.
Services and interment will be at the convenience of the family.

It is with great sadness, that I see the passing of yet another of my childhood friends. Lorena was special to me, as I remember her as we were, many years ago going to school at Center Benwood. My condolences to the family.
