Rush, Lonnie F., 90, of Moundsville, WV, died Sunday, January 15, 2012 in Reynolds Memorial Hospital.
He was born September 3, 1921 in Moundsville, a son of the late Foster and Arona Richmond Rush.
Lonnie was a retired employee of the former Fostoria Glass Company and a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. He was a member of the American Legion Earl Francis Post #3 and the VFW Post #437, both of Moundsville; a member of the Fostoria Glass Workers Union; a Christian by faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Mary Fern Hinerman Rush; four brothers, Otis, Rink, Fratchie and Ham Rush; three sisters, Helen Crow, Pauline Sunderman and Dorothy Mercer.
Surviving are three daughters, Mary Ann Rohdney Ott and Teresa Lynn “Terry” Scott Lydick, both of Moundsville and Brenda Sue “Penny” Sam Wood of Glen Easton, WV; six grandchildren, Laura Ann William Holmes, Candy Lane Dwayne Tubaugh, Kimberly Kay Charles Masters and Lonnie Robert Tiffany Becker, Kassy Marie Bill Johnson Wood and Samuel Everett Wood; great-grandchildren, Mary Ann and William Holmes, Chance and Cheyenne Tubaugh, Krysta, Karlie, Katie and Kourtney Masters, Zaiden Becker, Madison and Jacob Johnson; several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 10 am until time of service at 1:00 pm Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes & Kirby-Vance Chapel, 118 Grant Ave., Moundsville, with Pastor Paul K. Smith officiating.
Interment in Riverview Cemetery, Moundsville.
Military honors will be presented by the Moundsville Honor Guard.

Mary Ann, Terry & Penny, We all are deeply sorry to hear of Lonnie’s death. He was such a wonderful person and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May our Blessed Lord be with you all and keep you strong during this difficult time.
