Antoine Spencer and family—Words cannot express this terrible loss. Saying I am sorry just doesn’t seem enough. May God be with you all during this time of grief. I will keep you in my prayers. Because of Lonnie and his encouraging words to my son, James, he is continuing to play football for Oscar Smith High school. I just wanted you to know the impact he had on one person. I am sure there are many more he blessed with his words of kindness and encouragement.

With deepest sympathy, Kim and James Grawey and family

As Lonnie’s older brother i remember him the first time i seen him. I waited so long to have a lil brother. Then when he came i was so happy. Watching him grow up, I remember us playing football and remembering he couldnt catch for nothing. Then coming back from being away in the military how big of a football star he became. I wanted to be just like him. I’M PROUD OF YOU LONNIE AND I WILL ALWAYS HAVE YOU BY MY SIDE. NEVER TO 4GET ALL THE GOOD TIMES WE HAD, LUV AND MISS U BRO.

For the past twelve years i had the pleasure of knowing Lonnie. We grew up together in the same church and he has always been so full of laughter and love. I remember getting in trouble together as a child for running and jumping over pews. It saddens me that the rest of the world will never be able to expierence the joy of having him in your life. He was so fun loving and loved to dance, he could always brighten up my day. The Abotts are like a second family to me and i send out my love to each and everyone of them, as well as the Spencers and Andrews.

gosh wer 2 start…well i would like 2 say to the family please dont mourn for the death of Lonnie “”DARK CHOCOLTAE”” because yuh will see him again one day if we all be like Lonnie and follow his character of kindness for everyone now we see close hand that life is to short for non-sense and violence with or without a gun…i kant be to mad at the young man who killed him because god had to use someone or something to cause death to him so his angel can take him up but i do wish it could have ben done n a better way.At the funeral today i cudnt help but cry because the world lost someone who cudve made a difference n tha world but god has bigger and better plans for the football star later on during his next life…i send my condolences to everyone who loved him{friends & family}

I am truly sorry to read about your son, your brother, and your boyfriend. I know God has a plan for us all, we never understand that plan but we have to know that your loved one now, is in the Lord’s hand, and by our faith we will see him again. There is a time to live, and a time to die, and a time to laugh and a time to cry, please have faith and all else will come easy. God Bless you all. R.I.P. Lonnie.

It’s crazy that I’m just now doing this. It probably won’t hit me that you’re really gone until I come back to VA and realize that I don’t have anybody to crack jokes all day with. I look to the sky when I get upset and I hope that you’re looking down and smiling. I miss you more than words can say but one day I’ll see you again. I love you Lonnie.
