STORM, Lois Hope, 82, of McMechen, WV, died Friday, December 20, 2013. She was born August 24, 1931 in McMechen, daughter of the late Charles “Fritz” and Bess Murphy Oser. Lois was a former employee of Marx Toy Co., was a homemaker and a member of the McMechen Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Harry “Hap” Storm in 1999 and a brother, Fred Oser.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr.’s Nally, Wade and Hess and the Reynolds Memorial Skilled Nursing staff for their outstanding care.
Surviving are a son; Bill Storm and his wife, Carol, of Glen Dale, a daughter, Rayne Ann Burkhart and her husband, Joe, of Morgantown, WV, 2 grandsons; Casey Storm and his wife, Shelby, of Glen Dale, Dr. Travis Storm and his wife, Janelle, of Hilliard, OH, 2 granddaughters; Kimberly Pratt and her husband, Adam, of Fairmont, WV, Kaley Miranov and her husband, Jonathon, of Morgantown and 6 great grandchildren; Rilee, Braden, Shaye, Kinley, Sylas and Koie.
Friends will be received on Sunday, December 22, 2013 from 12:00 noon until 5:00pm at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 214 Marshall St., McMechen, where services will be held on Monday, December 23 at 12:00 noon, with Harley Gatts officiating.
Burial will follow in McMechen Cemetery.

Very sorry about your mom. We’re never really “grown-ups” till both our parents are gone. My thoughts and sympathy go out to you and the rest of your mom’s family and friends.

I will never forget Aunt Lois’ kindness, especially to Steve and I when we were living in McMechen. I always thought she had such class.

So sorry to hear of your mom’s passing. Lois & Hap, along with Velma, were our “pew neighbors” at church when I was growing up. Kind people…fond memories.
