Lewis L. Schneider
Age 88

Lewis L. Schneider, 88, loving father and brother, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2003 at his home following an extended illness.

He was born in East Liverpool, Ohio on January 19, 1915 and was the son of the late Lawrence C. and Hattie D. Posey Schneider.

Living his entire life in the area, Mr. Schneider was self employed as a machinest with Schneider & Son Machine on Oak Street in East Liverpool, Ohio. He attended the First Church of Christ where he belonged to the Brotherhood Class. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving during World War II and was a member of the Columbiana Bee Keepers Association.

His wife, V. Geraldine Boulton Schneider, whom he married December 13, 1953, died October 1990.

He is survived by 3 sons, Earl E. King and his wife Dee of Warwickshire, England, Geoffrey A. Schneider and his wife Jeane of East Liverpool and Randall L. Schneider and his wife Kim of East Liverpool, Ohio; a daughter, Catherine Cooper on Gainesville, Florida; a brother, Dean Schneider of Columbiana, Ohio; 17 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Elmer Schneider and Carl Schneider.

Services will be held at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin-MacLean-Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Friday, March 21, 2003 at 1:00 P.M. with Glen Bias, Minister, of the Oak Grove Church of Christ in Industry, PA , officiating.

Burial will follow in Columbiana County Memorial Park.

The family will be present to receive friends at the Calcutta Chapel today, Thursday, March 20, 2003 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM and on Friday up until the time of the service at 1:00 PM.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Pottery Area Chapter of the American Red Cross, 401 College Street, East Liverpool, Ohio 43920.

My visits to the farm will never be the same. Hope you all endure this with strength but also with good memories of his life. Sorry I could not be there with you and my Dad and I am sorry for your loss.My thoughts and prayers are with you. —Your cousin Kirk Schneider
