Levonda Pearl “Sis” Ryniawec, 87 of Benwood, WV, died Monday, December 2, 2013 at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Wheeling.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Good Shepherd for their kindness and loving care.
She was born February 19, 1926 in Marshall County, a daughter of the late Harvey and Mabel Shobe Hull. Levonda was a homemaker and a Christian by faith and loved spending time with her family and grandchildren and her little dog, “Sweetie”.
In addition to her parents, Levonda was preceded in death by her husband Charles Ryniawec in 2008 and a sister Devona Ebbert.
Surviving are her 3 children; Charles W. Ryniawec and his wife Linda, of Las Vegas, NV, Janet Porter and her husband Charles, of Benwood, June Bischof and her husband Jerry, of Wheeling, 4 grandchildren; Bradley Ryniawec and his wife Tiffany, of Oakdale, PA, Kimberly Alexander and her husband Kirk, of Las Vegas, Christy Hill and her husband Sherman, of Moundsville and Josh Bischof of Wheeling, 6 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Friends will be received on Saturday, December 7, 2013 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 214 Marshall St., McMechen, WV, where services will be conducted on Sunday, December 8 at 2:00pm.
Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Wheeling, WV.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Marshall County Animal Rescue League, PO Box 13, Glen Dale, WV 26038.

All that I am was through the love of Grandma and Pap Pap. Words could not come close to expressing the gratitude I have for them both. I know she is in heaven with pap and all her doggies RIP Grandma. I love you!

I have so many memories from cooking with Grandma, going to the beach in the camper, Sunday dinners, going shopping together; I could go on… She was my best friend & always was there for me!! I will miss her so much! I know she is with my Pap & her doggies & is smiling down on us. I love you so much Grandma!!!!

Sorry to learn of your loss. I saw it in the online version of the Whg News Register. All my best…..I really enjoyed the tribute and pictures in video of your parents. I remember your Father up at the farm working on the tractors.

There is a reason why there is such a title as great grandmother. She truly was the greatest. She taught me how to ride a bike, play baseball, and love nature. I would not be the person I am with out the guidance of such amazing great grandparents. Their memory will live forever in my heart. Dasvedanya Great Grandma I love you very much.
