OBITUARY NOTICE

Leroy “Lee” Nease
Age 72

Leroy “Lee” Nease, 72, of Idaho Avenue, East Liverpool, OH died suddenly, Monday, January 21, 2008 at his home. A son of the late, John L. Nease and Mura Wright Wright he was born in East Liverpool, OH on November 25, 1935.

Living his entire life in the area, Mr. Nease retired in 1982 from the former Crucible Steel Mill in Midland, PA, where he worked as a shipper. He as a veteran serving with the US Army.

Three daughters, Carrie Eckstein and her husband, Dave, with whom he resided, Myra Camp of St. Petersburg, FL and Penny Rice of Lisbon, OH, along with a brother, Jerry Wright and his wife Ruth of Salem, seven grandchildren, Stephen W. Camp, Jr., Kristin E. Camp, Austin G. Rice, Nicholas S. Rice, David T. Eckstein, Joshua L. Eckstein and Andrew J. Eckstein and his former wife, Jan Allmon Nease of East Liverpool, OH, whom he married June 6, 1959 survive him.

Besides his parents, a sister Margaret Miller and a granddaughter, Kristin M. Camp, preceded him in death.

Services will be held at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Thursday, January 24, 2008 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Norman Eckert of Beechwood Free Methodist Church, officiating.

Burial will follow in Columbiana County Memorial Park where the Tri State Burial Group and the Honor Guard of the West Virginia National Guard will accord full military honors.

The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home in Calcutta on Wednesday, January 23, 2008 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM

My sincere sympathy in the passing of your father.I knew him and your mother in the early 60s .We use to play canasta till the wee hours and once the 4 of us once took a trip to Niagara Falls.I lost touch after I divorced,but he was a very special man.I am sure you are blessed with many memories.
