Lena E. Joseph

JOSEPH, Lena E. Maroon, 88, of Wheeling, WV, died Sunday, January 4, 2009 at home.
She was born May 18, 1920 in Wheeling, a daughter of the late Asaad and Anna Maroon.
She was a former employment consultant with Snelling and Snelling Company, Wheeling, and a member of Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, George J. Joseph, five brothers, Mitchell, Louis, Joseph, Thomas and John Maroon, two sisters, Virginia Simon and Katherine “Kay” Jones.
Surviving is her son, George J. Joseph Jr. of Charleston, WV; one brother, Dr. Michael Maroon of Wheeling; one sister, Cecilia Maroon of Wheeling; several nieces and nephews.
Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 154 Kruger Street, Wheeling, where vigil services will be held at 7:30 p.m.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 7, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church with the Rev. Bakhos Chidiac, celebrant. Interment will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.
