Dear England Family,

Thinking of you at this difficult time. My father, Bill Long and Larry were good friends when I was growing up in the Ohio Valley. I remember when I was in college, Mr. England helped me get an internship in the therapy department at Bellaire Hospital which was much appreciated.

May his memory be a blessing.

Mrs. England and Family ñ

My father, Joe Sherman, worked for Mr. England for several years at the Bellaire Hospital. Dad thought the world of him. Mr. England treated Dad with a level of kindness and respect that is often not shown to maintenance staff. Dad always said he ìfelt like a million bucksî because he had ìthe best boss in the world.î

On behalf of our family and in Dadís memory, we send our condolences.

My Aunt Lois Bierkortte worked with Larry and Deana at Wheeling Tile. When my aunt was at Good Shepherd Nursing Home, he sent her a card with a photo of them when they all worked there. She really treasured that. When my aunt died he visited the funeral home and I had the chance to speak with him. I was shocked and saddened to read of his death. He was a good man! My most sincere sympathy to the family.

Ruth Ann and Family,

Please accept Beth and my condolances. Both Beth and I have been traveling and were not made aware of Larry’s passing until Wednesday by a friend. I had just seen Larry and discussed health care and the IPA in late September. He looked very good and I enjoyed catching up on his activities and our circle of friends in health care. Larry will certainly be missed by the community. We hope the many fond memories and good times will be held forever.

To Ruth Ann and Family,

I am in India so I cannot attend the service for Larry. He was such a fine man and I learned quite a lot over the years from him when we dealt with issues together affecting the valley and the nation.

His kindness, integrity, and knowledge was amazing.

My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time of great loss.

God Bless
