On the morning of Wednesday June 3, 2015, our beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend, Laura Ann Block, 49, slipped into eternal rest. Laura was born in Brooklyn, New York and a graduate of Connetquot High School and Suffolk Community College. In 1984, Mrs. Block met the love of her life, Allen. They married in 1990. Their loving union brought forth two sons, Jacob and Joshua.
Laura loved children and she was able to immerse herself in this love by being a Substitute Teacher for Virginia Beach Public Schools. In addition to substitute teaching she also taught Sunday School. Mrs. Block also enjoyed board games, arts and crafts and collecting dolls of all kinds.
Mrs. Block leaves behind to cherish her memory her devoted husband, Allen Block; two loving sons Jacob and Joshua Block; loving parents, Vincent and Ann Marie Lisa; one adoring sister, Andrea Aiello; niece Jacqueline Aiello; nephew Michael Aiello and a legion of family and friends.
A visitation will be held on June 5, 2015 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1801 Baltic Ave. Virginia Beach, Virginia 23451. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, June 8, 2015 at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 57 Buell Lane, East Hampton, NY 11937. Immediately after mass, Mrs. Block will be laid to rest at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery, 79 Buell Lane, East Hampton, NY 11937. Just as much as we will miss our beloved angel, we are thankful for the opportunity we were given to have her as a part of our lives.

F.A.C.T.teen night
Laura, What can I say to one of the most courageous women I have ever seen. You are one in a million. I remember meeting you for the first time at a Toys R Us and we became friends after that. Our kids grew up together for the first five yrs. going to each others birthday parties and all the BBQ we had at your house. What memories, which I’ll never forget. Even though we moved 3 more times we still kept in touch by phone and traveling to see each other. We became close and you are considered family to all of us. Even though you were diagnosed with this horrible condition, nothing kept you down, you kept going. You always had a smile on your face, and were always there to help others, thatwas your personality which people loved about you. There was never a bad thing to ever say about you. You were such a fighter and kept going. You didn’t give up, I’m so proud of you. Everyone should be like you. It wasn’t until the end, which you knew that you didn’t want to have any more pain and finally on June 3rd you were at peace. I don’t look at you being gone, I look at life as it goes on and I will see you again one day. Leaving behind is your mom, dad, sister, husband and sons. All your friends will always be there for you. You were my best friend and I love you so much. RIP Laura
May God’s grace shine on all of you as you mourn the loss of your beautiful Laura. That smile will live forever. Matthew 5:4 Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.”
May our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ lift you up and hold you in the palm of His Hands, TODAY and ALWAYS!
Love,
Corinne and Bob
rest in peace laura you fought a good fight . but your in a better place now. will miss you always.
prayers to all the family.
The Holden Family sends their condolences to Allen, Jacob, and Joshua for the loss of Laura, a wife and mother with heart and fight. She was giggles and smiles and worried like a mother hen. She had high hopes and always remained optimistic to the outside world. Your struggles were long and arduous. I can only hope that she has peace now and your family can rest knowing you loved her and showed her that love when she needed it. I will always remember her. Denise Holden
We are so sorry, and wish the Block and Lisa families our sincerest condolences
We wish to express or sincerest condolences to the Block and Lisa families. Eileen and family.
I’m praying for strength beyond normal, to comfort you and your family. My condolence to you and loved ones. God does Not cause death right now. “Time and unforeseen occurrences befall all.” Ecclesiastes 9:11. Remember: “Thy kingdom come, thy will be done,on Earth, as it is in Heaven.” Matthew 6:10; Daniel 2:44. You see it is a government, that Jesus soon will rule as King. It will bring no death, sickness, pain, tears, peace, here on Earth. Plus the dead will live again, here on Earth. Acts 24:15; Psalms 37:11, 29; Isaiah 26:19. Make sure you look up all the scripture to see this is all true. There is more. If your interested please email me at:. kathy122346@gmail.com
Everything is free. Jesus said go free give free. Because it is from him.
