Laura Ann Ambuehl

Ambuehl, Laura Ann, 88, of Wheeling, WV, died Sunday, February 9, 2014 at home.
She was born October 25, 1925 in Marshall County, WV, a daughter of the late Friend and Myrtle Myers Porterfield. Mrs. Ambuehl was a retired employee of Stone & Thomas Dept. Store and a Methodist by faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Dean; her second husband, Chester Ambuehl; three brothers, Friend, Jr., Walter and Ronald Porterfield; a sister, Mary Lou George; a grandson, Louis Corvino, Jr.
Surviving are two daughters, Carolyn Coen of Wheeling and Susan Gunto of Moundsville; a step-daughter, Cindy Robert Thomas of Ohio; a step-son, Greg Lori Ambuehl of Wheeling; a sister, Roberta Adamson of Renton, WA; a brother, William Janice Porterfield of SC; seven grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
At Mrs. Ambuehl’s request, there will be no visitation or service.
Private interment will be at the convenience of the family in McMechen Cemetery, McMechen, WV.
