Smith, Lakota Eli, 1 year old, went home with Jesus Monday, August 12, 2013, at Childrens Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Mommy’s Little Angel was born August 4th, 2012 in Morgantown, WV, the son of Amanda Smith of Martins Ferry. Lakota was baptized in the Presbyterian Church and Heaven has gained an Angel.

Lakota was preceded by his grandfather, Ed Smith, Jr.

He is survived by his Mother, Amanda Smith of Martins Ferry, grandparents Rose Smith, Joanne Flowers, and Dave Stanley, all of Martins Ferry. Also surviving are many aunts and uncles including Ron and Nun Williams.

Family and friends will be received Thursday, August 15, at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Home and Crematory, 441 37th St. Bellaire, Ohio from 11:00 am til time of services at 1:00 pm with Rev. David Demarest officiating. Interment will follow at Warnock Cemetery, Warnock, Ohio.

I don’t know you but I am so sorry for the loss of your child. It saddens me to hear that such a tiny sweet angel has gone away. R.I.P. Baby boy.

We are so very sorry for the loss of your beautiful baby boy. we cannot imagine everything that you and your loved ones are going through. He was such a very strong little boy, not many adults could have went through all the trials and tribulations that you both went through.
