Kathryn Louise GARY, 85, of Wheeling, died Thursday, April, 30, 2015 at Wheeling Hospital.
She was born May 22, 1929 in Wheeling, a daughter of the late Peter and Dora Sligar Langmyer.

Kathryn was retired as office manager for Dr. Michael Grubler, DDS, and was a member of St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church.

In addition to her parents, Kathryn was preceded in death by her first husband, Kaye A. McGlumphy, her second husband, John D. Gary, daughter, Jancie McGlumphy, son, Keith A. McGlumphy, step daughter, Sally Whiter, and brother, Andrew P. Langmyer.

Surviving are her children; Gary A. McGlumphy and his wife Patsy, of Dallas, WV, Michael K. McGlumphy and his wife, Jenny of Cambridge, OH; daughter in law, Nancy McGlumphy, of Dover, OH; four step-daughters; a sister, Dorothy Merinar and her husband, Lee, of Wheeling; two brothers, Robert H. Langmyer and his wife Phyllis of Cameron, WV, Raymond J. Langmyer and his wife, Debbie of Wheeling; sister in law, Sue Langmyer of Wheeling, 8 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and numerous step and step great grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received on Monday, May 4, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 154 Kruger St., Elm Grove, where a vigil service will be held at 7:30pm.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at 10:00am at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church with Rev. Chuck McGinnis as celebrant.

Burial will follow in Mt. View Cemetery, Dallas, WV.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church.

May you find comfort in your loving memories and in God promise to soon swallow up Death forever and to wipe away tears from all faces.Isaiah 25:8. While grief at the loss of Kathryn is great, joy at welcoming her back in the earthly resurrection will be greater.Mark 5:42.

My deepest condolences to the family. The last time I spoke with her was on her birthday. We shared memories of the Langmyers and all that laughable ‘toal.’ What fun conversations we always had. May you keep her memories close to your heart.
