Kathleen “Kathy” Kociban Lorentz, 63, passed away Friday, March 13, 2015 in Liza’s Place.
She was born in Wheeling, December 19, 1951; a daughter of the late Andy and Anna May Edgel Kociban, Jr. A retired registered nurse, a former member of the American Legion Auxillary.
In addition to her parents, Kathleen is preceded in death by her husband, David Lorentz, 1997, her son, David A. Lorentz, and two brothers; Philip and Andrew Kociban.
She is survived by one daughter; Melissa Teets Andrew, one daughter in law, Stacy Meadows; three grandchildren, Wyatt and Colton Lorentz and Amelia Teets; loving companion, Randall Cusick; one brother; David Kociban Judy; one sister in law, Lora Kociban;; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; and like a mother and grandmother to many.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm, Saturday, March 28, 2015 at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 214 Marshall Street, McMechen with Rev. Keith Forkey as Celebrant.

My thoughts are of Kathy and the beautiful peace she has finally found. I enjoyed the brief time we worked together at Mound View as well as the years I worked with her mother Ann, at OVMC. May the peace she’s been given extend to the family and friends left behind.
