Virginia Beach – Katherine F. Conner, 89, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on November 1, 2012. She was born on July 13, 1923 in Virginia Beach to the late Leonard S. and M. Booker Flanagan. She was a member of ECHOS choir with London Bridge Baptist Church. Left to cherish her memory are her children: E.H. “Sonny” Conner, his wife Patricia and their children Jere, Eric, David, and Josh. Janet Crow, her husband Bob and their children Sarah and Daniel. Nancy Hill, her husband Gurney and their daughter Rebecca. The late Eddy Conner’s surviving wife Sharon and their children Elizabeth, Matthew, Anna and Jesse. Leonard Conner, his wife Ginger and their children Katrina, Samuel and Benjamin. Jill Harris, her husband Jim and their children Amanda, Katie and James. Walter Conner, his wife Maria and their children Renee, Amy and Matthew; As well as 17 great-grandchildren. Katherine is preceded in death by her husband, her parents; four older siblings; her son Eddy Conner and grandson Christopher Crow. A visitation will be held in the Altmeyer Funeral Home – Maestas Chapel, 1801 Baltic Avenue, Virginia Beach, VA on Sunday evening from 6:00-8:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Monday morning at 11:00 am with Rev. Wayne Skinner officiating. Burial will conclude services at Nimmo United Methodist Cemetery.
