Katherine Cain

Age: 100

Katherine Cain 100 formerly of Oakmont Ave. East Liverpool, Ohio died Wednesday, October 31, 2001 at the Altercare Nursing Home in Canton, Ohio.

She was born in Canton, Ohio on March 18, 1901 and was the daughter of the late Clyde and Trease Spiser Hoffman.

Her husband, Emerson L. Cain, whom she married September 10, 1919, died December 18, 1990.

She is survived by a son, Dr. George F. Cain and his wife, Mary Lou of Canton, Ohio. Three-Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great-Great-Grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by 5 Brothers Erwin, Clarence, Robert, William and Howard Hoffman. One Sister Mrs. Margaret Mouldon and 1 Grandchild.

Mrs. Cain is a retired potter as a decorator at the former E. M. Knowles Pottery where she retired in 1954.

She is a member of the First Church of Christ Deciples on College St. and has been a church member for 74 Years.

Mrs. Cain was a member of the Crystal Chapter #18 of Eastern Star, charter member of the Crystal Club, Goldenaires Club and up to the time of her death, was the only surviving member, she was also a member of the Area Seniors.

Services will be held at the Columbiana County Memorial Park Chapel, State Route 7 Calcutta, Ohio, on Saturday, November 3, 2001 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Duane Hetzer officiating.

Friends may call at the Columbiana County Memorial Park Chapel one half hour prior to services on saturday.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Church of Christ Deciples at 400 College St. East Liverpool, Ohio.

Martin-MacLean-Altmeyer Funeral Homes, Calcutta Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
