Johnson, Karen June 62, of Crozier Ridge, Bellaire, Ohio died Friday May 17, 2013, at Belmont Community Hospital in Bellaire.
She was born June 16, 1951, in Bellaire, the daughter of the late Leland Dewey Bates and the late Matilda Jane Lippencott.
Karen was a Methodist by faith and was associated with the Grimm Reapers Motorcycle Club.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by 3 sisters Josephine Ruzich, Mary Ann VanDyne and Betty Ramsey.
Karen is survived by her husband Daniel McMahon, of Bellaire. Children, Jessica Cory Clark-McDowell, of Flushing, Ohio, Nicole Brian Green of Pickerington, Ohio, and Jeffrey Lisa Shaver of Franklin, West Virginia. Two sisters, Donna Robson of Grandview, Ohio, and Dorothy Don Koontz of Bellaire, and two brothers Earl Florence Ramsey, of McKeesport, Pa. and Roland “Bud” Patricia Bates of West Bellaire.
Friends will be received the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes and Crematory, 3900 Central Avenue, Shadyside, Ohio, Tuesday from 2 – 5 pm. Following visitation family and friends will gather at the Shadyside American Legion, 3809 Central Avenue Shadyside, Ohio from 5 – 7 to celebrate the life of Karen.

I knew Tillie in high school and knew her better when we were friends going to Jacobsburg Bible Church and as a friend associated with the Grim Reapers Motorcycle Club I will not miss your wonderful smile, because I’ll hold it in my memory. My thoughts are with the family.

It was a sad day when We found out about Tilly she has been our friend for 30 years,I just cant get her off my mind she will be missed but never forgotten may God bless her soul as she is watching over all of us now ,Peace be with you Tilly till we meet again.As for the family she was a beutiful caring person and We are so glad to have her in our life also her family God Be With You All Love Cis and Whitey.

Karen, you will be missed greatly. I am glad that I got the chance to live with you and your children, and I am proud to call you my stepmom. I love your children like they are my blood siblings. I love you and I am comforted in the thought that you are now with the Lord and I will see you soon.
My sincere condolences to Tilly’s family. Tilly was a wonderful person who was wise beyond her years!! Always had a good story to tell and a beautiful smile to go with it. She will be missed by many. Peace be with you all.
