Junior Elmer “Mack” Tate, 68, passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2008. He was born to the late Greenberry and Elizabeth Tate in Hillsville, VA. Mack was a retired Army veteran with over 20 year’s service.
Mack was preceded by his beloved wife Margot and Granddaughter Stephanie Tate and brother in law Richard Pratt.
He is survived by his children: Daughter Simone Tate and children
Josh and Ashley Gonzalez of Florida, son & daughter-in-law Marcus & Debbie Tate and child Whitney Tate of Poquoson, daughter and son-in-law Nancy & Butch Beasley & children Jourdan, Cara and Ryan Beasley of Dinwiddie, daughter and son in law Andrea & Thomas Stalnik & children Skye Wollman & Dakota & Dmitri Stalnik of Newport News, Sister Virginia Mae Pratt of TN, sister-in-law Isolde Zierk of OH. His best friend & companion Rowdy and friends & loved ones too numerous to mention.

The Family will receive friends at the Denbigh Chapel of Altmeyer Funeral Home on Saturday, December 13, 2008 at 1:00 PM with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 PM with full military honors;
A celebration of life will be held at Mack’s house following the service.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the ASPCA and to Edmarc Hospice

Mack was definitely one of a kind and will never be forgotten. I will always have him in my thoughts. There are so many good memories. I will miss his joking around and his wonderful personality!!! You will be missed dearly!! LOVE YOU MACK!!!
