Joseph Forrester, Sr., 83, of Wheeling, WV, died Friday, Aug. 9, 2002, in Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Wheeling.<br>He was born Sept. 3, 1918, in Wheeling, son of the late George W. and Ida Mae McCulley Forrester.<br>He retired in 1982 with 40 years of service from the city of Wheeling, where he was superintendent of the vehicle maintenance division for 20 years; a member of the former Municipal Employees of Wheeling; a member of Electric Railway and Motorcoach of Columbus, Ohio; an equipment service person for the former Red Star Lines.<br>In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Mae Dugan McNeil-Forrester in 1980; two brothers, Woodrow and Ervin Forrester, and a sister, Ora Danley.<br>Surviving are a sister, Della Dierkes of Wheeling; a son Joseph Forrester Jr. and his wife Susan of Wheeling; four daughters, Birdie Vasquez and her husband, John, Nora Mae Sucatre and her husband, Troy, all of California, JoAnn Bell and her husband, Charles of Martins Ferry, Ohio, Mary Lou Rine and her husband, William of Wheeling; four step-sons, Thomas McNeil and his wife, Carole Frank McNeil and his wife Rosalie, all of Wheeling, Malcolm McNeil and his wife, Andrea of Blaine, Ohio, James McNeil and his wife, Sue of Gambrills, Md.; a step-daughter, Patricia McNeil-Jacovetty of Wheeling; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.<br>Friends received 6-8 p.m. Monday, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 154 Kruger St., Elm Grove, Wheeling, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2002, with the Rev. Mark Carter, O.F.M., CAP officiating.<br>Interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling
