Joseph A. Brosky, 81,of Wheeling, died Monday, January 21, 2002, in Wheeling Hospital.
He was born November 29, 1920, in Washington, PA, a son of the late Anthony and Mary Wilchinski Brosky. He was a retired manager in the automotive department for Sears in Spokane, Washington; was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, and a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Wheeling.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Nagy Brosky, in 1999; a daugter, Theresa Blowers; a brother, John Brosky.
Surviving are a daughter, Patricia Ann Hutchinson of Rancho Cordova, CA; three sisters, Bertha Matson of Braintree, Mass., Stella Nichols and her husband, Stan, of Payette, Idaho, and Helen B. Petri of Wheeling; a special friend, Jean Bush of Wheeling; three grandchildren, Kyle Hutchinson, Dawn Beard, and Kenneth Hutchinson; two great-grandchildren, Cameron Hutchinson and Tyler Hutchinson.
Friends will be received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday in the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 154 Kruger St., Wheeling, WV. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday in the Bishop’s Chapel in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling, with the Rev. James Sobus officiating. Interment in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.

To Joe’s sister Helen, I pray for the peace that she can receive for all she did for Joe during his
illness. She was there for him and for his wife
before she was entered into rest.
