I would just like to say how very sorry I am to hear about the death of your son, Jonathan. I lost my son two years ago, so I feel your pain. My thoughts and prayers are with you. God bless.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Jonathon was a beautiful, happy child whose short time on this earth was made good because God blessed him with wonderful parents who loved, cherished, and cared for him. Only God’s love could be stronger than a parents love for their child

Patrick,

It grieved me so to hear of this heart wretching loss.

I know that there are no words of comfort that I can give you at this time that can satisfy the way that you and your bride feel. I can recall what Reverend George said at the funeral of my daughter so many years ago that has stuck with me to this day. “God did not do this,” were the first words that he spoke and to be quite honest, were the only words that I heard, because my grief was so overwhelming.

God did not do this! But God does love you, your wife, and your son. He is with the Father now in a place where angels speak the language of babies and you will find him there in time, as I will my daughter.

Know that I am praying for you through this most difficult time. For grace to understand, for peace to withstand, and for wisdom to walk through this valley hand in nail-scarred hand with Jesus, your Savior.
