John W. ”Bill” Reilly, Jr. died September 22, 2001 in Reynolds Memorial Hospital, GlenDale, WV. He was the son of the late John W. and Stella M. Allen Reilly. He was a retired painter with the Reynolds Memorial Hospital, a member of St. Jude Catholic Church and a Navy veteran of WW II, he was a lifetime member of the K of C, Council 1907; a member of the VFW and Blake Brothers American Legion Post 46, Benwood. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Margaret Griffin Reilly, and two brothers, George and Robert Reilly. Surviving are three sons, John W. Deborah Reilly, III, Timothy F.Emily Reilly, and Michael J.Shelia Reilly all of GlenDale; three daughters, Mrs. Thomas Mary Ann Yoho of Moundsville, Mrs. Walter Patricia K. Doran of GlenDale, Mrs. Frank Theresa Jane Reynolds of Rockville, MD, two sisters, Mary Tschappat and Eleanor Sabo both of McMechen, 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild, several nieces and nephews. Friends recieved 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 214 Marshall Street, McMechen. Funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Monday at 1:00 PM at the St. Jude Catholic Church, GlenDale with Rev. Frank O’Kruta as celebrant. Interment in Halcyon Hills Memorial Park, Sherrard. The Moundsville Honor Guard will conduct military graveside services. Vigil service at 7:00 PM Sunday evening at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the GlenDale Volunteer Fire Dept., 401 Wheeling Ave., GlenDale, WV 26038.
