Joan Snead Yates
Virginia Beach – Joan Snead Yates, 77, passed away October 29, 2011. Born in Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Curtis and Helen Snead. Joan retired as a personal banker with BankofAmerica after 20 years of dedicated service.
She leaves behind, to cherish her memory, her two children, Kathy Weinberg and her husband Andrew, and her son, Fred L. Yates, all of Virginia Beach; two grandchildren, Amanda Conner of Orlando, FL, and Ryan Yates of Reno, NV; two brothers, Binford Snead and his wife Maryanna of Virginia Beach, and Jon Snead and his wife Sherry of Colleyville, TX, her niece, Linda Wheeler; her nephew, Jon Snead, Jr.; and her great nephew, Nicholas Wheeler.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 5, 2011, at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Maestas Chapel, 1801 Baltic Ave in Virginia Beach. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association. Condolences may be offered to the family at altmeyer.com.

A beautiful and jovial lady. We have lovely memories of times we would meet Joan when visiting her brother and sister-in-law, Binford and MaryAnna Snead. Cherish your memories as they canít be taken away. Our deepest sympathies to all the family.
