Jimmie Lee Raines, 75, passed away on April 12, 2015 after a battle with leukemia. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee Edward and Flora Raines, and his brothers Clarence and Lloyd Raines.
Jimmie proudly served his country in the U.S. Army for 20 years. He retired from another 25 years of service as a supervisor with Mueller Martini manufacturing. Jimmie enjoyed spending time hunting and golfing, but his family was his greatest joy. He valued his family more than anything and he leaves behind a legacy of love and giving.
He is survived by his wife Ursula Raines; his children Patricia A. Hoage, Jimmie Lee Raines, Jr., Clarence Raines, and Rick Raines; his brother Jackie Raines; grandchildren Jessica Raines, Tad and Daniel Hoage, and Kyle and Rachel Raines; as well as 4 great-grandchildren.
A service will be held on Friday April 17th at 6:30pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home Denbigh Chapel, 12893 Jefferson Ave. Newport News, VA. Interment will take place on Saturday April 18th at 12pm at Peninsula Memorial Park.

My Dearest Uncle Jim, Know that you are truly Loved and missed. He always takes the good ones, though we love you, God Loves you more, so much he put a end to your suffering here on earth, And given you Eternal life with him. I thank God Our paths cross. I am glad to have knew you, I learn so much from you. Absents on earth is present with God. Bless it be the name of Jesus. Blessings of Joy, Peace and Love to all the family and friends.

As an employee of Evergreen Estates III it can selafy be stated that Florence will be greatly missed, not only by the employees but by residents. Take care and bless each and every one of you.
