Myers, Jerry J., 73, of Bellaire, Ohio, formerly of Wheeling, WV, died Monday, Oct. 20, 2003 in Heartland-Lansing Care Center. He was born Dec. 31, 1929, the son of the late Clem and Nellie Beatty Myers. Jerry was a retired employee of Shadyside Stamping and Consolidation Coal Co.; a Methodist by faith; and a U.S. Air Force veteran. In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jane Frazier Myers in 1974; a brother, George Myers; and a sister, Viola. Jerry is survived by four children, a son, Brian Myers of Bridgeport, Ohio and three daughters, Pamela Jean Miller and her husband, David, of Sagamore, Pa., Renee Ann Matz and her husband, Thomas, of Bridgeport, Ohio and Janet Lee Strauss and her husband, Scott, of Martins Ferry, Ohio; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a sister, Martha Abplanalp of Wheeling. Friends will be received Thursday and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff Street, Wheeling, WV, where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25, 2003. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling.

Pam,Brian,Renee and Janet,

i am so proud of all of you for the way you have cared for your father these past months…I know how hard it has been for each of you… but you did a wonderful job caring for him and showing him love and compassion…he is a very lucky man to have all of you for his children…
