OBITUARY NOTICE

Jerry H. Lyle II
Age 34

Jerry H. Lyle II, 34, of Oakgrove Road, Wellsville, OH, died suddenly at home on Tuesday, March 4, 2008.

He was born in East Liverpool on March 12, 1973 and is the son of Jerry H. and Pamela K. Meredith Lyle, Sr. of East Liverpool, OH. Mr. Lyle was an engineer for Norfolk-Southern Railroad, last working on Monday, March 3, 2008. He was a 1991 graduate of East Liverpool High School and a veteran of the US Air Force.

He is survived at home by his wife, Sondra Hill Lyle, whom he married August 17, 1996 and his son Quinn E. Lyle. Besides his parents, a brother, Jesse Lyle of East Liverpool, a sister, Angela Monte of Knoxville, OH, maternal grandparents, Geneva & Lorman Meredith of East Liverpool, OH and 3 nieces & 2 nephews, survive him.

Family and friends may call at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Friday, March 7, 2008 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM

Private family services will be held at a later date

i worked with jerry at the railroad. i always thought he was a good person. i first met him whem i was a conductor trainee, & he gave me copies of his maps,& advice. i last worked with him about a month or 2 ago. he came home on a train that i was the conductor on. he ran all the way home, and did a very good job. i am so sorry for your loss, and i will miss him. if there is anything i can do, please contact me.
