JEFFREY D. KENNEY, 54 of 120 Industry Street, Powhatan Point, Ohio died Saturday February 9, 2002, at the Oakland Veteran Administration Medical Center in Pittsburgh, Pa.
He was born October 25, 1947 in Long Beach,
California, a son of the late Robert H. and
L. White Kenney.
Jeff was a Protestant by faith; he was a former truck driver and landscaper in Virginia and operated Kenney’s Small Engine Repair Service in Powhatan Point. He was a US Army Veteran serving two tours of duty in Vietnam with the 9th Infantry.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Erna R. Kenney.
Surviving are five stepchildren, Donald E. White of San Pedro, California; Roy E. White, II of Gloucester, Virginia; Dale A. White of Newport News, Virginia; Joyce E. Tillman and Dorothy A. Cheney all of Newport News, Virginia; five brothers, James Kenney of Waterford, Ohio; John Kenney of Neffs, Ohio; Jerrold Kenney and Forrest Frosty Kenney both of Powhatan Point, Ohio;and Russell Kenney of Phoenix, Arizona; two sisters, Margaret Harbison of Phoeniz, Arizona and Rhoda Eberle of Shadyside, Ohio. Also eleven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends will be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Home, 186 Main Street, Powhatan
Point, Ohio on Wednesday 2-9 PM where services will be held on Thursday February 14, 2002 at 11 AM with the Reverend Donald J. Cordery officiating. Interment in Clarington Cemetery Clarington, Ohio with Full Military Honors conducted by the VFW Post 5565 Powhatan Point, Ohio.
