Jay H. Chris Wolfe
Age 82

Jay H. Chris Wolfe, formerly of Ohio Avenue, East Liverpool, Ohio died at East Liverpool City Hospital on Thursday, July 1, 2004 following an extended illness.
He was born in East Liverpool, Ohio on April 8, 1922, a son of the late Richard and Mary Mautz Wolfe.

Mr. Wolfe spent his entire life in this area working for 45 years as a caster at the Hall China Company before his retirement in 1985. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the US Army and a 1940 graduate of East Liverpool High School.

He was a lifetime member of Boyce United Methodist Church, a life member of American Legion Post 374 and a member of the East Liverpool Moose Lodge.

Mr. Wolfe is survived by two Brother-in-Laws: Ralph Hickman of East Liverpool, OH and Jack Walters of Joliet, Illinois, one Sister-in-Law: Kathleen Wolfe of East Liverpool, OH and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers: Robert & Richard Wolfe and four sisters: Janet Hickman, Mabel Gray, Inez Cahill and Faye Walters.

Services will be held at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 6, 2004 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Richard Wallace of the church officiating.

Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery where the Tri State Burial Group will accord military honors.

The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home in Calcutta on Monday, July 5, 2004 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM.

The family will gather with friends at the East Liverpool Chapel and Hospitality Center at 145 West 5th Street, following the services at the cemetery.
